Who we share it with
We share information with service providers who act on our instructions, including hosting, database, authentication and email providers, and with colleagues at Emerald who support your account. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information. Where information is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as approved contractual terms.
How long we keep it
We keep account information and the plans you create for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can deal with queries, disputes and legal obligations. Records of your agreement to our terms, including the date and version accepted, are kept for as long as needed to evidence that agreement. You can ask us to delete your account and plans at any time.
How we protect it
Access is restricted to people who need it, traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, and data is held with reputable cloud providers. No service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly about anything suspicious.
Cookies and similar technology
We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in, remember basic preferences and keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies in the tool. You can clear or block this storage in your browser, but you will not be able to stay signed in.
Your rights
You have the right to access your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email dataprotection@emerald-technology.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would welcome the chance to resolve matters with you first.
